You know what? I really don’t know what to start my journalism blog off with. I never even thought I’d ever even come close to being a journalist or ever wanted to. But I guess now I have to. And actually, surprisingly so, Journalism has turned out to be a much more interesting course than I’d imagined.
Of a truth, newspapers have never held anything much for me. I’ve used newspapers as something old men read in the morning with their coffee in my art more than anything else(though I can’t say I don’t enjoy the comics section.)
Journalism for me has been an abstract concept for paparazzi and press officials. I’ve always thought it was too complicated for my poor mind which I have thought(and still do think) does not have an iota of practicality in it. But I have been shoved into it and like I said it is much more fun and interesting than I could have imagined. OH! And glory of glories, there is an artistic side to the very logical task of a Journalist. I get to design the newspaper! Which, although, is much more fun than writing this article or learning about the ethics and law of writing news, it is still a task and I have never been known to be a real “go getter.” Well, it is something new and one of my more interesting subjects this year; it does have its ups and downs.
Anyway I hope our team gets lots of subscriptions and sells many newspapers. I know we will.
